Is anyone else really over this polar vortex? This is honestly the worst winter I have ever gone through and not only am I freezing but my lips and skin are suffering! I've never had a huge problem with dry lips in the winter or any time of year but these past couple months have been rough. My top lip felt like it was going to fall off at one point! So, I decided to ask my best friends for some of their lip care habits and what is keeping their kissers in the best shape!
1) Amanda swears by her eos lip balm. Evolution of Smooth lip balms come in the cutest little round packing and most of their lip balms are up to 95% organic and 100% natural. Which for someone like Amanda, who is very sensitive to a lot, is ideal. They come in several flavours like Blueberry Acai, Pomegranate Raspberry, Summer Fruit, Sweet Mint, and Honeysuckle Honeydew!
2) Smith's Rosebud Salve is Aleks' go-to for lip care. It comes in an adorable little tin with a vintage design on the top. It's world famous and is not only good for dry lips but can also be applied anywhere that is feeling a bit thirsty!
3) Just like the Rosebud Salve, The Body Shop's Hemp Moisture High Balm is multipurpose and Kathleen's number one during this awful winter. This balm is for those who are socially conscious but want something good for their dry lips and skin!
4) Rebecca true to herself keeps to basics. Blistex's Lip Medex is medicated so it works quickly to restore your lips back to their moisturized self! This is one of my favourites too. It feels like it works instantly, and I also just really love the tingly feeling it provides.
5) Just like Amanda, Ryan is practically intolerant to anything and everything that has fragrance or isn't naturally based. His winter lip saviour is his Burt's Beeswax lip balm. It is made with natural ingredients so even those with high sensitivities would be able to use this lip balm and give their lips the moisture they need! Burt's has a variety of different variations of their classic and it is also available in a tin. (Of course Ryan perfects the lip balm in stick form so he can just throw it into his back pocket!)
A lot of these lip balms have variations if you're looking for something that isn't just basic. Some are available tinted if you want a little more colour. (I don't know about you but winter makes me look dead and tired, always!) And even the Burt's Beeswax lip balm comes in an array of flavours. Hope this list helped you find a favourite if you don't have one already. Let's keep our kissers superb!
