Hair update.

My hair hasn't been this long in almost a decade. Let's see how long I can go without wanting to take shears to my head! Oh, and everyone meet my cat, Elton John. We decided on matching outfits this today.

Non-flattering photo up ahead.

I got my passport photo done and I cannot stop laughing at just how beady my eyes look. Also, the 'tude I am giving! Hah!

Athletic Wear: On Trend.

I cannot get over how simple, yet chic, this look is off of The Sartorialist. She looks so comfortable but so cool. Also, just love the reptile skin clutch, give this look a little something else.

Trip planning.

I'm going backpacking in Europe with one of my best friends this spring and she just told me she finalized our booking for the Highland Way hike we are doing in Scotland. I am screaming at my laptop right now in excitement! LOOK AT IT. It will seem so surreal to me when I'm there. I cannot wait.

I Woke Up Like This...

Everyone has a few of their go-to facial moisturizers that they swear by. I have had all types of skin in the past decade, from acne ridden to the most dry your face could ever be (believe me, Accutane is a blessing and a tragedy all rolled into one!) So, having had different types of skin I've bounced around between a few favourites. These are my top three!

1) Kiel's Ultra Facial Moisturizer is great. It absorbs super quickly and never felt greasy on my face. I used this a lot in the summer, when my skin isn't too dry but still needs a little bit of help!

2) Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion+ is awesome for before make-up or bedtime application. It's extremely silky and whenever I applied this before bed, I woke up with the most glowing skin! It was lovely.

3) Now this is my favourite out of the three. Since being on Accutane my skin is on the more dry side than anything and Nivea Creme is a life saver during the harsh winters. It keeps my skin baby soft and refreshed. When applied before bed I wake up with the softest and most glowing skin that sometimes I decide make-up isn't necessary that day. Which, in itself, is a huge accomplishment for me!
So what are some of your favourite facial moisturizers that you swear by? I wonder what Beyonce uses to always wake up so flawless!

10 Awesome Spring/Summer Pieces For Under $100!

I am just so eager for warm weather that putting together this list may have made me shed a few tears. There are so many cute pieces and accessories in store that I'm just too excited to be able to wear! I've collected 10 of my favourites and they're all under $100, how great is that?

1) First on the list is the Wilfred Free Yasmin Dress from Aritzia. It's a body-skimming fit tank dress that has a cute back cut out and a curved baseball hem. Hint, hint, this dress can also be worn backwards so that the cut-out is at the front, just under the bust to show a little bit of stomach! How awesome is getting two dresses for the price of one? And that price is a solid $60, making it pretty sweet.

2) I love hats. They're one of my favourite accessories to have. It changes an outfit completely, sometimes it just add that perfect something to any outfit! This structured wool hat from Urban Outfitters is great for any sunny, summer day. It has a leatherette band going around it with a little buckle, and for $39 I think it would give any outfit that awesome cool factor!

3) Okay, so I'll be honest, The Gap is totally not my go-to for my wardrobe. They deal with more colour than I'd like to have in my closet but when I saw this bag, gah! I fell in love. It's just a simple printed canvas bag but the floral print is just so lovely. For $49.95 you can add a bold print to your any summer outfit!

4) These shorts from Zara are the perfect 'goes-with-anything' shorts! The length of them makes them easy to wear and they fit like a boyfriend denim, just the perfect amount of baggy. For $49.90 these are great to wear casually on a super hot day on a cafe patio!

5) These bootie sandals are so cool. They look like a badass bootie mated with gladiator sandals. They are pretty much one of my favourite things on this list. For $39.80 versatility is definitely the word I would use for these. Can you imagine rocking these with the sweatpants farther down on this list? So cool.

6) I'm not one for too much colour but florals are my favourite. This Talula Keiyo Dress from Aritiza is just so adorable. The cut is super 90's until you get a look at the back! The back of this dress is killer and make this dress a statement.

7) You know those days where you're just so lazy and don't want to wear real pants? Well, these sweatpants from Forever21 are definitely for you. You can keep on the athletic wear trend and be comfortable without looking like a slob! I have a pair of sweatpants similar to these and they are such a blessing on those days where everything seems like a pain.

8) What better way to bring in spring than this floral bomber! It's easy to throw on over any outfit to give you an extra layer while we wait for the weather to heat up. How cute would this bomber look over a black romper, the next item on this list!

9) This romper from Urban Outfitters is so adorable. The gauze detailing looks so delicate and feminine. I love anything with detailing. It's such a simple outfit, you just throw it on with a pair of converse, for a more causal look, or some cute flats and you're done!

10) How much do I love that a harem pant jumpsuit exists? It's looks so comfortable and yet just so effortless cool. I think outfitting this jumpsuit with the bootie sandals and hat on this list would make for a simple, stylish outfit.

So many great pieces on this list that I might have to go out and purchase for myself. While you try to keep warm for the next few weeks, go out and get some outfits that will keep you excited for the warm weather to come!

Polar Vortex Lips: Top Five Lipbalms to Save Your Kisser!

Is anyone else really over this polar vortex? This is honestly the worst winter I have ever gone through and not only am I freezing but my lips and skin are suffering! I've never had a huge problem with dry lips in the winter or any time of year but these past couple months have been rough. My top lip felt like it was going to fall off at one point! So, I decided to ask my best friends for some of their lip care habits and what is keeping their kissers in the best shape!

1) Amanda swears by her eos lip balm. Evolution of Smooth lip balms come in the cutest little round packing and most of their lip balms are up to 95% organic and 100% natural. Which for someone like Amanda, who is very sensitive to a lot, is ideal. They come in several flavours like Blueberry Acai, Pomegranate Raspberry, Summer Fruit, Sweet Mint, and Honeysuckle Honeydew!

2) Smith's Rosebud Salve is Aleks' go-to for lip care. It comes in an adorable little tin with a vintage design on the top. It's world famous and is not only good for dry lips but can also be applied anywhere that is feeling a bit thirsty!

3) Just like the Rosebud Salve, The Body Shop's Hemp Moisture High Balm is multipurpose and Kathleen's number one during this awful winter. This balm is for those who are socially conscious but want something good for their dry lips and skin!

4) Rebecca true to herself keeps to basics. Blistex's Lip Medex is medicated so it works quickly to restore your lips back to their moisturized self! This is one of my favourites too. It feels like it works instantly, and I also just really love the tingly feeling it provides.

5) Just like Amanda, Ryan is practically intolerant to anything and everything that has fragrance or isn't naturally based. His winter lip saviour is his Burt's Beeswax lip balm. It is made with natural ingredients so even those with high sensitivities would be able to use this lip balm and give their lips the moisture they need! Burt's has a variety of different variations of their classic and it is also available in a tin. (Of course Ryan perfects the lip balm in stick form so he can just throw it into his back pocket!)

A lot of these lip balms have variations if you're looking for something that isn't just basic. Some are available tinted if you want a little more colour. (I don't know about you but winter makes me look dead and tired, always!) And even the Burt's Beeswax lip balm comes in an array of flavours. Hope this list helped you find a favourite if you don't have one already. Let's keep our kissers superb!
